Daniel Webster (1782–1852) was an American statesman and one of the most influential political figures of the early United States. Known for his powerful speeches and defense of the Union, Webster served as a U.S. Senator from Massachusetts and as Secretary of State. He remains one of the most recognized voices of American nationalism and constitutional debate in the 19th century.
