Unless otherwise stated on a specific page, free downloadable images are licensed under: Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0).
What CC BY-NC 4.0 Means
Under CC BY-NC 4.0, you are free to:
- Download the images
- Share them online
- Use them in projects such as school work, presentations, history blogs, documentaries, and non-commercial videos
As long as you:

- Do not use commercially (NonCommercial) without permission

Are Digital Yarbs images free to use?
Yes — if a page offers a free download, it is usually free for non-commercial use with attribution under CC BY-NC 4.0, unless that page states otherwise.
Can I use these images on YouTube?
Yes, if the video is non-commercial and includes attribution. If your channel or video is monetized, please contact me for permission.
Can I upload Digital Yarbs images to Wikipedia?
Usually no. Wikipedia/Wikimedia Commons generally requires licenses that allow commercial reuse. Since CC BY-NC does not allow commercial use, these images typically cannot be uploaded there.
What does “NonCommercial” mean?
It means the image cannot be used to directly make money or support a commercial product/service without permission.
